A.k.a. The rose hat
Photography was something I never saw myself doing (at all) and it wasn't until summer 2017 when I started taking pictures and thought, "Huh, this is actually pretty cool. I want to keep taking cool pictures." I put myself out there, gained a small following, and then got hacked... I saw this moment as an opportunity to re-brand and create something different. So, after some time and consideration The Rose Hat was born! So yeah... here we are. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.

Born and raised in the magical city of Birmingham, AL. I'm the neighborhood kid that everyone knows and if not, will eventually know somehow, someway.

Relationship with roses
I have an affinity for roses because people are like roses. Roses, unlike many flowers, have thorns to protect themselves, not to harm others. When you mishandle a rose you're bound to get hurt, same with people. So, you just have to learn how to handle roses with their thorns.

Journey
I just thought photography was really cool and wanted to be a part of it. Saw some cool pictures of cities and streets and thought, "Those are cool pictures... I want to take cool pictures" and here we are. So, I started self teaching using the streets and the wonderful city of Birmingham.

Interesting Fact
I actually can't stand to have my picture taken! I was never photogenic so one of the benefits of being a photographer is I'm always on the other end of the lenses. So it kinda works out.
